Objective of the activity: To familiarize students with the relevance of pursuing a global Qualification and various job opportunities open for ACCA students

Summary:

An interactive session on “Discover Global Opportunities with ACCA Qualification” was organized by the Department of Accounting & Taxation for students of all the Semesters of the ACCA program on July 27, 2023. Speaker on the occasion were Mr. Rohan Rajvanshi(Sr Manager – Business Relationships, ACCA) and Mr  Prabhanshu Mittal-(Head of Education Partner Relationships, ACCA). To begin with, Mr Rajvanshi highlighted the importance of pursuing a global qualification and the importance of acquiring professional skills in today’s job market. He spoke about the increasing demand of qualified Accounting and Finance professionals and the plethora of job opportunities for them, not only in India but across the globe. Next, Mr Prabhanshu spoke about various support resources available for the students on the ACCA portal and how students can benefit from them. He also shared some tips with students regarding preparing for Placements. In the end, students asked few questions which were answered by both the Speakers.

Overall, it was a very useful and informative session for the students.

 

Outcome of the activity: Students became aware about plethora of job opportunities available for them and how to equip themselves for the same.
