Faculty Development Programme held for Papers of ACCA qualification

A faculty development programme was conducted in association with ISDC for B com (H) (Prof) ACCA course of The IIS University from 16 th July 2018 to 19 th July 2018.

It was a 4 day FDP held at 2 campuses, one was the IIS (deemed to be ) University, Jaipur and the other was Manipal University, Jaipur.
On 16 th of July the course covered was Financial Accounting (Paper F3) and was attended by Dr. Mani Bhatia , Dr. Monty Kanodia and Ms. Mitali Gupta and was conducted by Mr.Charanjeet Singh from 11 am to 5 pm at the IIS University campus.

On day 2 there were two training sessions held, one was at the Manipal University campus for the paper code F1- Accountant in Business which was attended by Dr. Princy Thomas, Dr. Neha Sharma , Dr. Aditi R. Khandelwal and was conducted by CA Sarvesh Mopkar and the second was at the IIS University campus attended by CA Nikhar Goyal , CA Priya Jain , Ms Anusha Bardia, and CA
Hemant Singh for F7 paper- titled Financial Reporting and was conducted by Mr. Charanjeet Singh ,the timing for both was 11 am to 5 pm.

The third day again the session was conducted at the Manipal University from 11am to 5 pm and was attended by CS Surabhi Ajmera, CA Shruti Sharma and Dr. Shilpi Saxena and the trainer was Mr.Aniruddha Malhotra, the paper covered was F4 , Corporate and Business Laws.

4yh Day - The last a session was conducted for P1 and P3 on Strategic Business Leaders and was conducted by CA Nidhi Bhaskar, this session was attended by Dr. Mahima Rai, Mr. Gaurav Bagra, Dr. Princy Thomas, CA Shruti Sharma and CA Rohit Singhal, the session went from 10 am to 5 pm.

In these sessions the faculty were given in depth knowledge of the subject wise paper codes and were also given a detailed knowledge about the ACCA website, the study material available on it and how the students can be encouraged to use the tools available for preparation of exams on the website. The faculties were also made aware about the paper pattern of each subject, the variety and types of questions asked in the examination as well as the method of answering the questions which plays a very important role in qualifying the exams by the students.

The sessions were very interactive where all the doubts that the faculties had were clarified and resolved by the trainers in their respective sessions. The four day FDP programme was very productive and added value to the skills and knowledge of the faculties.
