Objective: 

The objective of the subject is to create vibrant and enthusiastic environment wherein students are guided through a multitude of experimental animation techniques to develop more diverse animation skills.

Unit I: 
Introduction

Introduction to stop motion animation. Its use in today’s trend of animation. How stop motion animation came into use.

Unit II: 
Types of Stop Motion Animation

Types of stop motion animation. What is the latest trend in stop motion animation? Cut-out animation (cardboard sets, houses, layouts designing).

Unit III: 
Clay Animation

Clay animation, stop motion shooting technique, animation set designing (table top), Clay character modeling table-top model lighting, technique of working in groups.

Unit IV: 
Classical Animation

Flip Books using short gags and moral stories. Puppet animation using classical animation, Acrylic Colour Landscape using layers.

Unit V: 
Categories of Stop Motion Animation

Pixilation, Graphic animation, Go motion, Silhouette animation, Introduction to the techniques and methods to implement them.
