Objective: 

The objective of the course is to equip the student with basic quantitative tools required to perform the role as a manager. This will enable him to do analytical evaluation and arrive at logical conclusions & inferences to the decisions.

Concept Model Building for Business Decisions, Matrix, Determinants, Solving Linear Equations by Using Matrices, Applications of Matrices to Value Analysis, Output Model in Matrices, Basic Concepts of Differentiation. Theories of Extremes.

Problem Formulation and Graphical Methods of Solution, Simplex Method, Two Phase Method, Elementary Ideas About Duality

Decision Theory
Decision Making Under Uncertainty, Decision Making Under Risk, Bayesian Approach. Decision Tree-Applications, Decision Making in a Competitive Situation

Game Theory
Types of Games, Two Person Zero Sum Games, Mixed Strategy, Method of Solution.
